Terms and Conditions

Satisfaction with Our Services and aftercare

Your satisfaction is important to me. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, I would be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your dog from his/her appointment. Once, however, you take your pet home from the appointment, any return visits will be treated as a new appointment. 


Proper aftercare between grooming appointments is essential for your dog's health and comfort. Regular brushing and coat maintenance help prevent matting and skin issues. Neglecting aftercare may result in longer grooming sessions or additional fees. If your dog returns in a neglected condition, the groomer reserves the right to charge extra or refuse grooming until the dog's condition improves. Consistent care at home ensures the best grooming experience for your pet. 

Cancellation and Appointment Times:

Customers must notify the salon at least 48 hours in advance to cancel. Cancellations can be made by phone 0433 816 007 or via my email thedoggroominglounge7@gmail.com .If running more than 15 minutes late, customers should contact the salon, as the appointment may need rescheduling. No-shows may require prepayment for future appointments.

Current Vaccinations

Any new puppy clients being serviced in my salon must be up to date with their second puppy vaccination 10 days prior to attending The Dog Grooming Lounge salon. Adult/Senior dogs MUST BE current on C5 vaccinations. We follow rigorous cleaning protocols to minimize the risk of disease transmission. The Dog Grooming Lounge is not responsible for any illness-related costs in unvaccinated pets.

Aggression from Customers or Others

The Dog Grooming Lounge wants to ensure customers and their dogs leave our services safe and happy.  I also have a right to safety. Aggressive or unacceptable language, actions or threats will not be tolerated. Customers who are aggressive will not be permitted back.

Refusal of Service

The Dog Grooming Lounge retains the right to refuse any services at any time. If your dog is stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, The Dog Grooming Lounge may terminate grooming services if deemed necessary for the safety of the dog or the groomer and client will be charged a grooming fee of $50.

No aggressive dogs if known to be. Thank you

Fleas and Ticks

The Dog Grooming Lounge strives to be a flea-free salon. If fleas are discovered on your dog, they will be given a flea bath at your expense of $5 in addition to your service.

Use of Muzzles

Muzzling does not harm your dog and protects both the pet and the groomer. In some cases, muzzling may even calm a stressed dog, allowing the grooming process to continue. I do not muzzle unless essential and used as a last resort. Please note, I will never use sedation on any dog.

Matted Coats

Animals with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in an animal’s coat grow tight, cause pain and can damage the animal’s skin.  Prevention is achieved by scheduling regular grooming appointments, every 4-6 weeks. If your dog has significantly matted fur it WILL be shaved to remove it safely. Matted fur will incur an extra cost of $50. By completing the agreement form below, you acknowledge that you agree to this should it be needed, and accept any risk. 

No Interruptions During Grooming

For the safety of the dog being groomed, as well as the dog groomer, I do not permit owners to stay during the grooming service.  Please wait for me to call you before you arrive to collect your dog.

Dog grooming Liability

By agreeing to these terms, the pet owner understands that dog grooming carries risks, and the groomer is not responsible for any health issues or emergencies, such as cardiac arrest or seizures, that may occur during grooming. The pet owner must disclose any pre-existing health conditions prior to the appointment. The groomer will take reasonable precautions but will not provide financial compensation for any incidents before, during, or after the grooming. In the event of a medical emergency, the groomer will contact the pet owner and emergency veterinary services, but the pet owner is responsible for all associated medical costs. The pet owner also authorizes the groomer to seek emergency care for the dog if needed and agrees to cover any resulting expenses.

Photographs

The Dog Grooming Lounge may take photos of your pet for client file and for social media pages. Please comment below if you do not want pictures of your dog shared on social media. All photos taken are the property of The Dog Grooming Lounge. 

Payment

Payment is due when you first drop off your dog for grooming. Payment methods accepted:

  • Bank transfer
  • PayID 
  • Cash 

Agreement to Terms and Conditions

By completing this form I vouch that I am the legal owner of the dog to be groomed and agree to above Terms and Conditions
